Parallelisation
The B2000 code has been used as a test-bed in a Ph.D. thesis on parallelisation of structural finite element codes. The first test results with the explicit transient analysis module b2eta show super-linear speedup for well balanced problems on a distributed memory computer.
Delamination
CIRA, the Italian aerospace laboratory makes use of the B2000 code for their research in delamination of composite panels.
Visualisation
To meet the need for graphical post-processing on various platforms ranging from from cost-effective Linux-driven PC's to high-end graphical workstations, a new 3D visualisation tool is being developed.
New version of MemCom
A new version of the MemCom data manager has been developed. The current version is 7.1 and has been shipped to B2000 customers. MemCom 7.1 contains a new client-server mode, which permits safe and concurrent remote access.
