The Model Description Language (MDL)

This part contains a description of the B2000++ Model Description Language (MDL). It further contains information about concepts that are of importance when setting up MDL files, such as coordinate systems, transformations, generic element types and element naming and numbering conventions.

The purpose of MDL is to describe the geometrical, the physical and mathematical properties of a problem, and the numerical parameters for the solver(s). To enable parametric models, MDL has features such as variable assignment, substitution, and flow control statements.
