b2convert_from_nas [options] BDF_FILENAME MDL_FILENAME

## Description

The b2convert_from_nas program is available in B2000++ Pro. It reads a Nastran® bulk data deck file (BDF) and creates an MDL file. The b2convert_from_nas program is launched from a shell.

## Arguments

BDF_FILENAME

The Nastran® bulk data deck file to be read. BDF_FILENAME must exist.

MDL_FILENAME

The B2000++ MDL file to be written. If MDL_FILENAME already exists, it is overwritten.

## Options

-h

Print a one-line help message and exit.

-help

Print a help message and exit.

-verbose

Verbose output. The scaling factors for the different quantities are printed.

-permute=[X|x|Y|y|Z|z]

Specifies permutation for the x-, y-, and z-axes. Three characters must be specified. The first character indicates which direction is mapped onto the x-axis. The second character indicates which direction is mapped onto the y-axis. The third character indicates which direction is mapped onto the z-axis. A lowercase characters indicates a negative direction, while an uppercase character indicates a positive direction.

Thus, -permute=XYZ means no permutation. To swap y- and z-axes, specify -permute=XZY. To rotate around the x-axis by -90 degrees, specify -permute=XZy.

-bdf-units=SYSTEM

Specify the unit system of the BDF file, where SYSTEM is one of 'lb-in (force)', 'SI', 'mm-t-s'.

-mdl-units=SYSTEM

Specify the unit system of the MDL file, where SYSTEM is one of 'lb-in (force)', 'SI', 'mm-t-s'. The scaling factors for the different quantities are determined automatically.

-scale-force=factor

Scale forces (e.g. FORCE1 and FORCE2 cards).

-scale-length=factor

Scale lengths (and derived quantities such as areas, volumes, and area moments).

-scale-mass=factor

Scale masses.

-scale-modulus=factor

Scale elastic and shear moduli.

-scale-moment=factor

Scale moments/torques.

-scale-density=factor

Scale densities.

-stabilize-beam-properties=factor

Stabilization factor for beam cross-section properties with zero area moments, torsion moments, etc., to avoid singularities. Default is 1e-6.

-no-shear-panels

Replace cshear/pshear by cshell/pshell.

-ignore-wtmass

Do not take into account the WTMASS parameter if specified in the BDF file.
