3. HE Solid Element Strain and Stress Tests

This test is based on Example 6.5 of the book by Bathe[38] (example 6.6 in later editions). It tests the linear and non-linear stress computation of 8-node volume elements. Strains and stresses are compared to the analytical solution for the linear case. For the nonlinear case, the Green-Lagrange strains and the Cauchy stresses are separately computed by the test and compared to the strains and stresses obtained from the FE analysis.
